The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Stewardship Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring compliance with European and local regulations as well as 3M guidelines and standards when introducing new 3M products.
  • Ensuring the continuous compliance of 3M products placed on the market with regard to hazard communication aspects, required national environmental reports, product registrations, certifications, declarations, and applicable local laws.
  • Handling local customer inquiries regarding product stewardship with the support of European and global experts.
  • Monitoring and assessing the impact of relevant new local regulatory requirements and trends.
  • Establishing and maintaining an internal network to ensure the flow of information related to compliance aspects, including contacts with business units, customer service, and external partners who work with 3M.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
  • Communication skills, must be able to summarize and articulate technical/regulatory information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Flexibility and willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics.
  • Enjoyment and confidence in working with IT systems.

Additional Knowledge / Nice-to-Have Skills / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a Regulatory / Product Safety related role will be an added value.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Self-driven with a “can do” attitude and willingness to drive improvements and change.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to bring projects to a conclusion.
  • Ability to work with different cultures and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and capable of dealing with short deadlines.
