It’s an exciting time to join us! The RWEST Data Platform Team is seeking an experienced technical lead to shape the future data needs of our organization.

Using the latest cloud technology, the Lead in Data (LiD) platform, used as the primary data analytics platform within the group, alongside MIX, has revolutionized searching, sharing, and onboarding data within our organization. Market Data is the backbone of the company’s trading and analysis communities and is becoming a critical asset across the RWE group.

We are looking for a motivated tech enthusiast to join us as a Technical Product Owner, working closely with business stakeholders and internal squads to define our platform's future direction.

Your future responsibilities

  1. Own the Lead in Data product vision and key objectives, aligning with overall Business goals.
  2. Act as the interface between stakeholders, translating business requirements into a technical backlog, design, and roadmap.
  3. Build and influence the technical delivery backlog with innovative ideas and requirements.
  4. Architect strategic solutions to enhance our self-service platform.
  5. Work hands-on with data solutions for complex requirements with a proactive attitude.
  6. Engage with platform vendors (AWS, Dremio, Databricks, Tableau, Alation), prioritize fixes, and manage product roadmaps and billing.
  7. Collaborate with IT and business Product Owners, especially within Data (Market Data IT, Governance, Licensing).
  8. Stay updated on new Data Analytics trends and explore new solutions.
  9. Mentor the squad on technical knowledge, architecture, and solutions.
  10. Translate business requirements into technical designs and review existing designs.
  11. Understand cloud architecture and production system design principles.
  12. Possess strong knowledge of Cloud Ecosystems (preferably AWS).
  13. Balance technical understanding with business insights and user engagement.
  14. Work collaboratively to deliver value to users.
  15. Ensure operational aspects like high availability, scalability, security, and monitoring.
  16. Implement DevOps best practices.
  17. Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and the IT community.
  18. Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and inspire confidence.
  19. Be a motivated, independent, and reliable team player.
