THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to support Ancient + Brave’s ambitious growth trajectory in Europe, with an initial focus on Germany. In this role,you’ll help deliver best-in-class brand building strategy, bold marketing communications with creative to match and NPD launches that expand our loyalcustomer base.

This is a pivotal role that touches every part of our marketing mix, from executing market activations to launching innovation, and owning all brand collateral. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working collaboratively and cross-functionally at all levels and with all departments (Content, Design, ECommerce, Partnerships, Nutrition, Retail, Events and Innovation) as well as external agencies and partners.

The role reports to the Marketing Director (Europe) and will be based in Germany. Ifyou are a creative and strategic marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit, we want tohear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Guardianship:

+ Ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity and brand voice across all channels and marketing materials - ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
+ Develop template materials for B2C partners and trade marketing.
+ Oversee the creation of brand assets, including videography and photography.

2. Brand Strategy Support:

+ Support in executing brand strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
+ Constantly reflect on the brand's positioning, value proposition, and target audience (learning and refining where needed).
+ Be the ‘voice of the consumer’ in the process, ensuring we design solutions to meet their needs.
+ Engage with and manage consumer insight available, including brand tracking & social listening data - to learn more about their needs and wants, test assumptions and support the Marketing Director in turning it into insights to help shape brand activity.
+ Support in conducting market research (when needed) to identify consumer trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for brand differentiation.

3. Marketing and Advertising:

+ Lead on identifying and executing relevant brand partnerships in Germany, that can benefit the brand on a global level.
+ Plan and execute key partnerships with wellness businesses (e.g. yoga studios & gyms) as well as female networks & communities.
+ Own the podcast media plan and budget, developing scripts and evaluating performance.
+ Manage the production and delivery of assets for paid advertising, especially digital.
+ Represent the brand at events across Germany, helping to sample products and expand our network within our target group.
+ Execute and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
+ Manage advertising initiatives across various channels as the brand grows, including digital, print, outdoor and TV/AV.
+ Evaluate campaign performance and build out the brand reporting function, setting clear objectives and KPIs and sharing insights for continuous improvement.
+ The initial focus of this role will be the German market, with scope to take on other territories in the future.

4. Project & Team Management:

+ Manage multiple projects seamlessly and have a meticulous attention to detail.
+ Work closely with the wider brand, shopper/trade marketing and commercial teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end integration across all channels & productive working relationships.

5. Budget Management:

+ Support in managing the brand's marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment.


WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Proven experience in brand marketing, ideally within the wellness industry, withD2C consumer brand (s) and but open to agency side brand building experience.
+ Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multi-channel campaigns.
+ Ability to seek out and develop new opportunities for brand building, usingexisting networks and consumer insight available.
+ Creative thinker with experience in developing and executing bold marketingcommunications.
+ Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
+ Passion for consumer insights and data-driven decision-making.
+ Have a number of commercially successful and highly regarded creativecampaigns and NPD launches under your belt
+ A good understanding of key brand metrics and an ability to interpret data andask the right questions.

As a fast-paced scale-up, we’ve found that spending time together in person is hugely beneficial to the way we’re needing to communicate, collaborate and drive the business forward. We’ve worked hard to make our office (a beautiful old mill situated in East Sussex) an inviting and friendly environment for all of our team members and we expect any new joiner to be in the office full time.
