Accounting Assistant

A Düsseldorf based logistics company is currently recruiting an Accounting Assistant.
In this role, you will mainly be responsible for invoicing matters for a project with a projected duration of 3-5 years (TBD).

The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge/experience and fluency in English, in addition to basic German.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

Accounting Assistant Main Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner
2. Verify invoice details and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
3. Process and track payments, following up on outstanding invoices when necessary
4. Liaise closely with sales and operation team
5. Support logistics and operation team if necessary

Accounting Assistant Ideal Candidate:

1. Basic understanding of accounting process, especially invoicing
2. Business level fluency in English and basic level fluency in German (need to be able to understand accounting system in German)
3. Experience in Datev is advantageous
4. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
5. Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous
