As Supervisor in the inbound or outbound areas at our logistics location in Dortmund, you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time provision of customer goods in the incoming and outgoing goods departments. About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Personnel management and responsibility in the inbound/outbound department
  • Planning and control, including work distribution and briefing of employees
  • Acting as the primary contact for customers, employees, and temporary workers
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordination of forklift trucks
  • Managing the movement of goods within the agreed customer SLA's (Service Level Agreements)
  • Ensuring timely processing of orders, including the complete and safe handling of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Coordinating and adhering to targets, KPI's, SLA's, and customer requirements, including communication with customers
  • Preparing daily and weekly reports (internal and external)
  • Processing prioritized shipments and customer orders, and overseeing loading and storage
  • Handling stock transfers and updates in the warehouse management system
  • Reporting damages and claims, assisting with claim and damage management, and documenting accordingly
  • Ensuring compliance, reviewing, and optimizing procedures and processes
  • Developing, creating, and updating process descriptions and work instructions for the department

Your Key Qualifications

  • Completed commercial or technical training, ideally with a degree in business administration or industrial engineering, preferably in logistics or supply chain management
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in logistics or freight forwarding is desirable
  • 3-5 years of management experience is desirable
  • Fluency in German and proficiency in written and spoken English are required
