PreSales Solution Consultant (gn) Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Full-time | Permanent | Location: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or remote

The Role

As a Presales Consultant, you act as the interface between our sales and delivery teams. You support our clients in identifying and implementing the best GCP and AI solutions.

Scoping and Sizing Opportunities

• Collaborate with sales and clients to assess requirements and objectives.
• Analyze and size projects to ensure client needs align with company capabilities.

Solution Design and Proposal Development

• Develop tailored solutions considering both business and technical requirements.
• Define margins for proposals in coordination with sales and delivery teams.
• Create detailed scope of work (SOWs) and technical presentations.

Market Research and Insights

• Stay updated on trends and competitive offerings.
• Act as an expert in customer interactions and workshops.

Sales Support and Collaboration

• Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling sales material.

What We Need From You

Must-Have:

Technical Expertise

• Strong interest and understanding of current developments in cloud technology, AI, and data analytics.
• Deep understanding of GCP services, ML algorithms, data analysis tools, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with GCP networking, hybrid solutions, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), ML frameworks, and Big Data technologies.
• Familiarity with IAM, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• GCP certification at least at the Associate level.

Methodical Skills

• Application of methods like Design Thinking and agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience in project costing and creating SOWs.

Sales and Core Competencies

• Proven ability to support the sales team with technical and functional expertise.
• Ability to clearly and convincingly present complex technical concepts.
• Confident in client discussions and workshops to gather and clarify requirements.
• Openness and commitment in communication with clients and internal teams.
• Leadership in proposal phases: initiative to lead the development and presentation of solutions.
• Empathy for client needs and challenges.
• Ability to lead discussions and reconcile different viewpoints.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of development frameworks (Angular, React) and DevOps tools (especially GitHub).
• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with NLP techniques, AI ethics, and industry-specific challenges.
