For our global Head Office in Essen, we are looking for a Senior Technical Architect (f/m/d). Your tasks include:

1. Shaping the technological infrastructure of the Global IT&D Air and Ocean target application landscape, ensuring scalability, robustness, and efficiency aligned with business goals.
2. Delving into technical details within ITDAO while aligning with broader business objectives, supporting current operations, and paving the way for future growth.
3. Translating complex requirements into actionable blueprints for development teams, ensuring compliance with the ITDAO target architecture and standards.
4. Supporting the transition and implementation of global application environments to the Schenker Multi hybrid-cloud.
5. Ensuring high system integrity, security, and performance of infrastructures and services, in alignment with the Enterprise Architect and strategic guidelines.
6. Creating and maintaining ITDAO platform strategies, ensuring compliance with architecture principles and roadmaps.
7. Designing a secure, resilient application technology stack considering disaster recovery and data protection, and optimizing system performance.
8. Assessing architecture impact on costs, resources, and timelines, making recommendations for optimization.
9. Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and cybersecurity standards.
10. Creating a repository of architectural assets and leading research on emerging technologies for organizational innovation.

Your profile should include:

1. A university degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. Several years of experience in IT architecture of complex application landscapes, e.g., as a senior technical architect.
3. Extensive experience with cloud platforms like Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, knowledge of microservices, architecture frameworks like TOGAF, containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and Linux variants.
4. Experience in consulting and collaborating with application teams, especially during migrations or new deployments.
5. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GIT, Jenkins.
6. Leadership qualities, stakeholder management, and solution-oriented mindset.
7. Ability to learn new technologies and explain them clearly.
8. Fluency in English and willingness to travel.
9. Knowledge of the logistics industry, especially Air and Ocean, is an advantage.
