Playout Operator (m/f/d)

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for live broadcasting of the Sky Sport portfolio and providing first-level support in case of breakdowns.
2. Operate broadcast automation systems, routers, audio and video mixing consoles, measuring devices, and intercom systems.
3. Manage the production environment during live sports broadcasts, including signal routing, measuring, audio mixing, communication with relevant teams, and adding advertising and graphics.
4. Maintain composure during technical failures to quickly restore or maintain broadcasting operations.
5. Understand program planning, broadcast planning, and advertising planning to ensure smooth broadcasting processes.
6. Utilize experience with content management systems to support TV features.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completed vocational training or degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with IP technology and audio/video solutions.
• Proven expertise in TV in-house production, including conception and design.
• Strong affinity for Sky products and live sports production handling.
• Reliable, structured, and responsible work ethic.
• High resilience, teamwork skills, and clear, solution-oriented communication.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
