Product Definition Engineer for Security Solutions (f/m/div)

Drive innovation and enhance customer value by defining system concepts for solution products used in applications such as mobile and IoT security, government and edge ID, and payment. Contribute to strategic initiatives and actively shape industry standards. This role combines technical leadership with a focus on developing cutting-edge, secure solutions.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

1. Define system concepts based on given product requirements for security solutions used in applications such as mobile and IoT security, government and edge ID, and payment.
2. Specify architectural elements and their interaction, as well as the hardware & software partitioning.
3. Derive requirements for embedded and host software and services.
4. Align concept & requirements with key stakeholders, including concept engineering, system architects, application engineering, external partners, and customers, to ensure right-fit, scalability, and reusability of system concepts.
5. Contribute actively to innovation and strategic initiatives, as well as feasibility studies, proof-of-concepts, and technical assessments, by defining concepts and providing expert guidance.
6. Actively engage in standardization of strategic relevance.

Your Profile

As a Product Definition Engineer for Security Solutions, you are committed to the results of your team and the company as a whole. You have a passion for developing new and creative ideas, setting ambitious goals, and collaborating across boundaries.

You are best equipped if you have:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or comparable.
• Strong programming expertise (>3 years) in development of embedded SW (Native/Java Card) on ARM architectures.
• Solid knowledge of Security Concepts, such as secure channel protocols, secure field updates, and secure coding (protection against logical and physical attacks).
• Solid understanding and experience with SW architectures.
• Experience in Python would be valuable.
• Basic experience with solution architectures for security applications.
• Basic knowledge with requirement definition and management.
• Experience with Windows/Office and Jama SW; Atlassian Jira/Confluence and System Modelling tools will be valuable.
• Fluency in English.
