Position Overview
We are seeking a strong and charismatic leader with a proven track record in leading oncology or specialty sales teams at a national level. Working closely with the DACH & NL Group Country Manager, Medical Affairs Director, and Associate Director of Access, the successful candidate will help improve the overall success of the leadership team and the ability to overachieve sales and revenue targets.
Operational excellence is a key driver in our business. Close collaboration with the commercial operations team in Zug is essential for success.
This role will be based in South Germany, with regular travel to our office in Munich.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the GER sales team to fully leverage the best-in-class product Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score in breast centers and key accounts across Germany.
- Developing a national sales strategy as a member of the DACH leadership team.
- Implementing and optimizing the KOL management and peer-to-peer education strategy.
- Optimizing the existing account management system in collaboration with the sales excellence team in Zug and the DACH leadership team.
- Managing territory development with specific quantitative and qualitative goals, and refining the business review process with the Key Account Manager team.
- Leading the Key Account Manager team to strengthen collaborations with national and regional Key Opinion Leaders, focusing on implementing company strategy and developing Excellence Centers among TOP accounts.
- Building and maintaining relationships with experts in Gynecological Oncology, Oncology, Pathology, Urology, etc., to support the company’s strategic objectives.
- Demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities, including attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a high-performance culture, leading with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and setting a clear vision to energize teams.
- Managing, supporting, and guiding your team through delegation, performance assessment, and providing feedback and training opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing pharmaceutical or diagnostics sales teams, preferably within oncology or specialty areas.
- Proven success in selling complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics.
- Experience in marketing or managed care is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with strong business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experienced and motivated in coaching top-performing sales teams.
- Flexible to support coaching and KOL management activities.
- A life sciences degree or clinical experience is a plus.
- Valid German driver’s license.
