Job Description

Position: Senior Systemingenieur*in Safety (w/m/d) in the Air SIGINT Systems Engineering department, responsible for defining and developing airborne reconnaissance/SIGINT systems.

Your Tasks:

  • Developing system analyses of complex airborne reconnaissance systems involving multiple aircraft and ground stations.
  • Conducting and evaluating Safety Assessments per SAE ARP 4761.
  • Creating and assessing fault trees.
  • Defining and evaluating hazards and safety requirements at aircraft and system/equipment levels.
  • Supporting design development with safety considerations.
  • Assessing operational and maintenance processes for safety.
  • Preparing and evaluating safety documentation (FHA, PASA/PSSA, ASA/SSA, verification reports, safety-related problem reports, FTA/DD).
  • Providing safety evidence for certification and supporting approval activities.

Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering, aerospace, communications, computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar.
  • Extensive practical experience with civil/military safety standards in aviation.
  • Experience with software/certification standards (DO-178, DO-254).
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies (EASA, LufABw).
  • Experience with DOORS is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of safety processes in civil aviation (SAE ARP 4761, 4754).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Structured, meticulous, analytical work approach.
  • High initiative and commitment.
  • Fluent in German and English.
