Job Overview

At ArcelorMittal, we are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Global Assurance team. You will play a key role in the SOx review process at the corporate level and conduct audit and process reviews within the European segments, including central and corporate functions, reporting to the audit supervisor.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Perform and document SOx activities for the designated site, segment, and business division, including annual scoping, risk assessment, process documentation updates, and testing of internal controls.
  2. Monitor control gaps, report on remediation, and advise management on control improvements.
  3. Lead and participate in audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting, applying a risk-based approach.
  4. Evaluate internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.
  5. Prepare audit reports, communicate findings to management, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  6. Follow up on management actions and maintain audit documentation and evidence.
  7. Collaborate with assurance partners, specialists, and external auditors on SOx matters.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, CIA, or CISA are preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and data analytics for controls testing.
  • Understanding of business processes, risks, controls, and audit standards (e.g., COSO).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
