Accounting and Consolidation Expert (all genders)

Your role: We are seeking a skilled Accounting Analyst (all genders) to join our Surface Solutions Finance Team. The Surface Solutions Business Unit is subject to a planned divestment to the company Global New Materials International (GNMI) as of August 1st 2025. This role will be part of the divestment.

GNMI is headquartered in China. Surface Solutions is planned to become a standalone business under GNMI ownership. In this context, a fully-fledged, dedicated Finance function for Surface Solutions needs to be build-up. For this function we are looking for an Accounting and Consolidation Expert. This position is important to establish and run key group accounting and consolidation processes for the newly independent Surface Solutions business covering over 15 legal entities across more than 10 countries. The ideal candidate (all genders) will have a solid background in running the operational consolidation process and preparing consolidated financial statements. You will prepare and consolidate local financial statements (in multiple currencies) in line with IFRS requirements, collaborate with local finance teams to gather and validate financial information for consolidation. Review intercompany transactions and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports. At the same time we offer an opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the new Finance team and processes (with focus on accounting, financial reporting and consolidation) of a newly independent business unit.

Who you are:

• 4 –8 years of relevant work experience in group accounting or financial consolidation positions
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting and consolidation processes, and dealing with multi-currency transactions
• Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with accounting (SAP preferably) and consolidation software
• Hands-on mindset, result driven and resilient, with very good analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
