Human Resources Manager

Location: Frankfurt

Salary: €80,000

An international firm is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function in Germany. This standalone position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of HR operations across the region, supporting a growing workforce while partnering with a wider HR team based in the UK.

You’ll be the go-to person for all HR-related matters in Germany including policy implementation and employee relations to day-to-day admin and compliance. This is a hands-on role suited to a confident HR professional ready to make a strategic and operational impact in a dynamic, international environment.

The Role

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across Germany
  • Lead and execute the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contracts, HR systems, payroll coordination, and offboarding
  • Advise on employee relations issues, performance management, and workplace policies
  • Ensure compliance with German labour law and maintain up-to-date HR documentation
  • Manage relationships with external providers such as payroll vendors, benefits suppliers, insurers, and legal advisors
  • Drive local HR initiatives aligned with company culture, including wellbeing and engagement programmes
  • Support general office administration including suppliers, facilities, and invoice processing
  • Collaborate with the UK HR team to ensure consistency in global HR processes and standards

About You

  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist, standalone, or management role
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices
  • Confident managing both strategic and administrative HR tasks
  • Professional fluency in German and English
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with international stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • HR certification (e.g., Personalfachkaufmann/frau or equivalent) is a plus
