At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Taufkirchen near Munich, you will take on a key role as Electrical Engineer Satellite Calibration & Space Systems in the preparation and execution of test campaigns for space systems. Job description

Tasks

  • Execution of thermal vacuum (TVAC) and calibration/characterization test campaigns
  • Analysis and correlation of events with possible root causes, including development of pragmatic solutions
  • Creation, execution and critical evaluation of test procedures
  • Participation in non-conformance investigations in compliance with quality standards
  • Collaboration with project teams to define test strategies considering time, quality and cost
  • Review and continuous improvement of existing test methods and processes
  • Support in the integration of new test systems and network technologies
  • Working with central checkout systems, including SCOS-2000 (Spacecraft Control & Operation System 2000) and CCSDS/PUS protocols

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or embedded systems
  • Several years of professional experience in engineering, ideally in the aerospace sector
  • Knowledge of space standards and prior experience in test environments is an advantage
  • Familiarity with SCOS2k, PUS telemetry/telecommand, and CCSDS protocols is a plus
  • Strong skills in MS Office and practical experience in network management
  • Fluent English skills (min. C1); German is a plus
  • Willingness to work in shift operations over several months
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
