What your day will look like

  • Ensure that the strategic orientation aligns with Thinkproject’s vision and complies with law and regulation.
  • Support Thinkproject’s transformation process and ensure data protection laws/regulations are considered.
  • Improve Thinkproject’s data protection implementation with appropriate steps.
  • Align Thinkproject’s Data Protection Management System with the Information Security Management System.
  • Ensure company policies comply with GDPR and follow prescribed codes of practice.
  • Oversee data protection governance for new and existing initiatives/projects.
  • Inform, advise, and train data controllers and employees on GDPR compliance measures.
  • Keep data processors/controllers informed on data protection matters.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data protection and privacy compliance and address issues.
  • Support external data protection audits by DPOs or customers.
  • Promote a culture of privacy and data protection compliance across teams.
  • Update stakeholders with reports on data protection strategies and policies.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulators and public bodies on data protection issues.
  • Provide expert advice on data protection strategies and increase organizational awareness.
  • Conduct training and support for employees involved in data processing.
  • Handle data protection complaints and inquiries.
  • Report non-compliance to management.
  • Stay updated on data security trends and implement new technologies.
  • Maintain records of all data processing activities.
  • Coordinate compliance measures with data protection authorities.

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in data protection/privacy or related field preferred.
  • Recognized privacy certifications, e.g., TÜV Data Protection Officer.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data protection and privacy compliance.
  • Experience in legal, risk management, or audit departments.
  • Strong project and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail with ability to produce insightful reports.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and sensitive data.
  • Effective working independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
