Job Description:

Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Program teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimise our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Define supply chain and operating models for the business.
  2. Analyse and interpret data to improve efficiency across supply chains and multiple operations.
  3. Partner with teams to advise on and manage operational challenges.
  4. Support the planning and organisation of complex projects.
  5. Create short- and long-term innovative solutions using data and research to address wider organisational challenges.
  6. Enhance operational performance and influence change needed from stakeholder teams.
  7. Act as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting teams and contributing to reliable and trustful partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  8. Analyse complex data to explain KPIs performance and identify opportunities to achieve higher targets.
  9. Communicate findings and proposals clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

A day in the life

Being a Supply Chain Manager at Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You’ll work with various teams to navigate challenges impacting our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issues and focusing on the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards new objectives.

As a Supply Chain Manager, you’ll handle both on-the-ground tasks and strategic work. No two days are the same. You might define supply chain models one day and assist with resource planning for a busy site the next. This variety allows continuous learning and growth.
