Job description

Tasks

  • Supporting the Commodity Manager EMS in the procurement of electronic components during allocation and as part of the product creation process (PEP)
  • Creation and prioritisation of a cross-location missing parts list in coordination with production control systems
  • Coordination with EMS suppliers, distributors and development to process missing parts and identify alternatives
  • Involving preferred suppliers in the product development process in collaboration with the Project Buyer and the Commodity Manager
  • Ensuring that all Strategic Purchasing tasks are completed on time by liaising closely with team members and coordinating the project schedule
  • Monitoring and coordination of project-relevant work content
  • Internal, cross-location collaboration with operational purchasing and production control for the timely completion of tasks
  • Adherence to processes, guidelines, compliance specifications as well as legal and collective bargaining requirements

Requirements

  • Completed studies in industrial engineering, economics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the aerospace industry and in strategic purchasing, ideally with purchasing experience in aviation
  • Good general technical understanding, especially of electronic components
  • Detailed user knowledge of MS Office, initial experience with SAP
  • Business fluent in German and proficient in English
  • Existing work permit for the EU
