Here at Volocopter, we are pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). Since our first crewed electric multicopter flight in 2011, we have conducted over 2,000 test flights globally.

Your crew during this flight:

As the Head of Controlling and FP&A, you will be a key leader in our finance department. You will shape our financial strategy, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and provide insights to support decision-making. Your role is vital for achieving our milestones and ensuring sustainable growth. You will also lead a team of controlling experts.

Your mission during this flight:

Budget, Forecasting, and Business Cases:

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with management and department heads to set financial targets.
• Develop and maintain business cases for decisions like investments, pricing, and profitability.
• Manage target costing and operational controlling as a business partner to C-Level executives.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Design and analyze financial reports, providing key insights into performance.
• Monitor KPIs and variances, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Provide timely, accurate management reports for leadership.

Cost Control and Optimization:

• Oversee operational costs, recommending cost-saving measures.
• Assess risks related to costs and financial operations, developing mitigation strategies.

Process Improvement:

• Enhance financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in control and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related; MBA, CFA, CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial controlling, budgeting, and analysis, ideally in manufacturing or R&D; startup experience is a plus.
• At least 3 years of leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, IFRS, and financial software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English; German skills are a plus.
• Stakeholder management and influence skills in complex environments.
