The Role
The Specialist will collaborate with subscribing universities and research institutions in the DACH region, demonstrating how JoVE video resources support professors in teaching and research.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with professors to integrate JoVE resources into their curricula and increase usage among existing customers.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., Heads of Departments, Deans, Librarians) and research staff through daily outreach (phone calls, demo meetings, emails).
- Increase product awareness within new and existing customer institutions.
- Deliver product presentations and organize webinars at conferences, university seminars, workshops, and onsite visits.
- Gather customer feedback for sales, product, and marketing teams.
- Maintain positive relationships with customer institutions to provide support, ensure satisfaction, and promote retention.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or PhD in Life Science disciplines.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales and service within the education or publishing markets (preferred).
- Fluent in German communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and passion for remote relationship-building.
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of education trends and challenges in areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Medicine, Physics, Engineering, or Psychology.
- Experience with networking and cold calling.
- Knowledge of STEM publishing (preferred).
