Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal group guidelines within the SAP/R3 environment.
  • Accurate and timely input of financial data from SAP into the IFRS reporting software (Tagetik).
  • Preparation of the performance calculation to reconcile IFRS to HGB.
  • Continuous review of the financial records to ensure proper presentation, valuation, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Close collaboration with the Shared Service Centre for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Management of the balance sheet structure for both IFRS and HGB, and administration of general ledger accounts.
  • Coordination with external service providers, such as those involved in leasing vehicles under IFRS 16.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory valuation and proper preparation of provisions.
  • Ongoing reconciliation of general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Supporting the controlling team to maintain operational excellence in accounting.
  • Willingness to act as an SAP key user for the FI module.
  • Assisting the internal tax department with transfer pricing documentation.
  • Serving as a point of contact for auditors.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for accounting matters related to the company’s subsidiaries.

Ideal profile

  • Minimum 5+ years' of professional accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience.
  • Experience reporting to IFRS standards.
  • Experience reporting to HGB standards.
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Native/Fluent German.
