Business Development Engineer - Grid Integration Test

About the Role

Join us in shaping sustainable energy's future. As a Business Development Engineer for Grid Edge and Charging Test Solutions, you will lead Keysight’s global strategy to expand our presence in the rapidly growing energy transition sector.

About the Team

You’ll work closely with a diverse team of experts in R&D, Marketing, Project Management, and Sales, building trust-based relationships with global customers and industry partners. Your focus will be on driving growth, understanding emerging trends, and co-creating innovative solutions for the evolving needs of the electric grid and EV charging infrastructure. We seek candidates passionate about clean energy, cross-cultural collaboration, and impactful work.

Responsibilities

1. Lead global business development efforts for Grid Edge and EV/EVSE Charging Test Solutions, focusing on Grid Edge technologies.
2. Build and strengthen partnerships with customers, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
3. Identify and analyze market trends, customer challenges, and growth opportunities in grid integration and e-Mobility.
4. Support pre-sales activities with strategic insights and solution alignment.
5. Develop sales tools and enablement strategies to expand Keysight’s global reach and impact.
6. Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for energy transition technologies like V2G, grid-tied inverters, and smart charging.

Required Qualifications

1. Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related practical experience.
2. Strong background in Product Management, Business Development, or Business Administration.
3. Experience in business development or product/solution management within B2B technology sectors.
4. Industry knowledge in grid infrastructure, EV charging, or renewable energy systems.
5. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Experience with e-Mobility, EnergyTech, or Smart Grid industries.
7. German language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
8. Proficiency with digital collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. Solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation.
10. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, multicultural teams.

Location & Relocation

This role is open to candidates across Europe but requires relocation to Germany. All candidates must be based in or willing to move to Germany to be eligible.
