ICS Infrastructure Specialist

At this moment, we are looking for an ICS Infrastructure Specialist at our ECO3 production site in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The ICS Infrastructure Specialist manages, coordinates, and supports the Wiesbaden manufacturing site on all ICS-related activities including information provision (application-related) and ICS infrastructure domains. This will include network infrastructure as well as servers, printers, network shares, and communication infrastructure (e.g., phones) to ensure the site achieves its production goals without disruption or lack of ICS infrastructure.

Your tasks : Support

1. Render advice and assistance in infrastructure-related matters
2. Analyse and coordinate solutions to application problems (incident handling) to restore service for end-users promptly
3. Ensure critical manufacturing site support is covered for ICS matters on a 24/7 basis
4. Act as the contact person for local manufacturing application topics in Wiesbaden
5. Provide advice and guidance to users on the effective use of installed services, facilities, and potential improvements/extensions (service requests)
6. Find root causes of problems and initiate actions for future prevention, optimizing support efforts
7. Describe and implement best-practice ICS infrastructure solutions within a global context for manufacturing processes
8. Provide consultancy on ICS Infrastructure-related matters, including training of key/end-users and ICS colleagues
9. Act as 'key contact' for all ICS-related external suppliers, managing contracts, negotiations, performance, compliance, and related financial issues

Coordination

1. Coordinate local service issues, monitor ICS issues at Wiesbaden, and liaise with global teams and escalation points
2. Coordinate all ICS operations locally
3. Arrange third-party support as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to SLAs

Projects

1. Participate in infrastructure-related projects for Wiesbaden as required
2. Define business requirements in coordination with Wiesbaden management and guide developers accordingly
3. Ensure ICS solutions meet business needs and are used appropriately

Management

1. Propose ICS improvements when justified by business case, in collaboration with the ICS Infrastructure manager and third-party centers
2. Design cost-effective solutions without compromising key business requirements

Regional IT - Europe

1. Serve as the first point of contact for European offices
2. Support escalations and coordinate with external service providers
3. Assist in regional infrastructure projects and workplace initiatives
4. Conduct training for local teams
5. Act as a security ambassador for regional teams

Your profile :

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science
2. At least 3-5 years of experience as a systems engineer in a similar environment
3. Strong skills in systems analysis, documentation, and cost-effective improvements
4. Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; advanced German skills required
6. Ability to handle multiple initiatives considering business priorities
7. Flexibility to work unscheduled hours
8. Focus on quality and continuous improvement, with proactive measures to prevent issues
9. Knowledge of LAN/WAN administration, Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate equipment is advantageous
10. Experience with Windows AD environment administration
