Join our team as a Lead Principal Engineer in Concept Development for HV Devices, and drive innovation in power device technology. We seek a visionary leader who thrives on complex challenges, fosters collaboration, and inspires with expertise. Passion for semiconductor device design and clarity in explaining complex concepts are essential.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and evaluating new technology and device concepts for IC and smart power IC technologies, including innovative architectures, materials, and processes.
  • Performing TCAD simulations using tools like Synopsys and Silvaco to analyze and optimize semiconductor performance.
  • Applying semiconductor physics knowledge to design and simulate CMOS and power technologies.
  • Understanding application requirements for AC-DC and DC-DC conversion, including power electronics and magnetics.
  • Conducting FEM simulations to analyze thermal, mechanical, and electromagnetic behaviors.
  • Performing system-level simulations, including magnetics and EMI analysis, to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into device and system development.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and applying new knowledge to improve simulation methodologies.
  • Contributing to team development and interfacing with EDA, REL, Test, and Process teams.
  • Participating in creating test chips and setting up complex experiments.
  • Supporting R&D of future technologies through TCAD simulations.
  • Defining future products in collaboration with business lines.
  • Driving innovation and providing technical advice for management decisions.

Your profile:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Microelectronics, or similar; a PhD is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor device design.
  • Strong background in semiconductor physics and CMOS technologies.
  • Knowledge of process and device physics, especially for power devices.
  • Proficiency with TCAD tools like Synopsys.
  • Experience with FEM and system-level simulation software.
  • Knowledge of power electronics and magnetics, including AC-DC and DC-DC conversion.
  • Fluent in English; German skills are desirable.
