System Administrator

We’re looking for a System Administrator to manage our network operations application Poseidon, which serves as the central interface between terminals, Girocard issuers, and credit card acquirers, supporting our NSP business as a routing and clearing system.

What does a successful System Administrator do?

The system administrator Poseidon is responsible for our network operations application Poseidon. Based on OLTP, Poseidon serves as the central interface between terminals and Girocard issuers (head offices) and credit card acquirers and supports our NSP business as a routing and clearing system.

What you will do:

• Administration and operation of the Poseidon application
• Definition, planning, and testing of application extensions and updates, including documentation
• Management of system events and troubleshooting
• Continuous monitoring and performance optimization
• Participation in projects such as compliance implementation, cloud migrations, and database solutions
• Setup, configuration, and cyclical testing of the disaster recovery (DR) solution
• Support and communication with internal and external customers/interfaces
• Updating and documentation of ZKA keys
• Organization and support of ITIL processes (change, problem, incident management)

What you will need to have:

• Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as a system administrator, preferably in transaction processing
• Experience with technical communication protocols is a plus
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
• 3-5 years of experience as a system administrator

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge of programming languages (Java) is an advantage
• Independent and goal-oriented work style with team and partner orientation

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
