Join to apply for the Assistant/Office Manager in Budapest/Hungary role at European Investment Bank (EIB).

The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Secretariat General (SG), Shareholder Relations and Institutional Matters Department (SR&IM), Institutional Representation Division (IRD), External Offices Unit (EO) located in the EIB Local Office in Budapest/Hungary, an Assistant/Office Manager.

This is a full-time position at grade 2/3 with a permanent contract in Budapest/Hungary.

Purpose

You will provide secretarial support to Heads of Office in Budapest and remotely to other assigned offices, assisting visiting MC Members, Senior Management, and other EIB Group staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Operating Network

You will work under the supervision of the Head of Office in Budapest and coordinate with other office Heads. Some travel within the region may be required.

Accountabilities

  • Office Management: Support daily office operations, handle administrative tasks, manage office relationships, oversee contracts, and organize events.
  • Accounting: Manage financial administration, monitor VAT records, and handle payments.
  • General Administration Support: Manage communications, organize meetings, handle travel arrangements, provide administrative assistance, and liaise with other offices.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in international banking or finance.
  • Proficiency in computer tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PeopleSoft.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Hungarian, French, or other European languages is an advantage.
