Key Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership for approximately 11 employees within the newly unified operational procurement team.
- Responsibility for and development of the operational procurement processes and team, focusing on methodology, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Act as an active interface manager, collaborating closely with other internal departments, Dover, and other MAAG locations.
- Optimize and develop operational KPIs such as OTD, inventory levels, delivery times, and financial status.
- Enhance inventory control with a focus on maximizing material availability (ABC analysis, reorder cycles, Just-in-Time, etc.).
- Manage suppliers: selection, control, evaluation, consolidation, and optimization of supplier structures.
- Coordinate continuously with Strategic Procurement and Quality Assurance to address operational issues and find solutions.
- Assess risks and apply techniques to minimize risks within the supplier base.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal standards.
- Create procurement guidelines and monitor their adherence and implementation.
- Conduct cost and scenario analyses as well as benchmarking.
- Negotiate contracts with national and international suppliers and handle contractual negotiations.
Qualifications
- Completed technical or business studies or comparable qualification, with methodological procurement knowledge.
- Several years of leadership experience (at least 10 team members) in operational procurement within machinery and plant engineering; experience with US companies is advantageous.
- Experience in a global procurement environment.
- Proven success in achieving savings and consolidating suppliers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge in Lean Supply Chain.
- Structured, independent, and results-oriented working style.
- Fluent in English and German, both spoken and written.
- Assertiveness, flexibility, resilience, and a confident demeanor.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
