Masterand/-in Machine learning/Factory design and layout (f/m/d)

Job Description

Rolls-Royce Deutschland brings together a team of more than 3,500 employees from over 50 nations, dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and servicing state-of-the-art aerospace engines.

Our headquarters in Dahlewitz near Berlin house the Development, Assembly, and Customer Service units, along with central administrative and strategic departments.

We deliver the world's best jet engines through innovation and collaboration, powering over 35 types of commercial aircraft with more than 13,000 engines in service worldwide. We also offer opportunities for thesis and student projects with Rolls-Royce.

Key responsibilities & tasks:

  1. Develop a solution to assess factory layouts in DWG or PDF format against regulations like Arbeitstättenrichtlinie (ASR) and Brandenburgisches Baurecht.
  2. The solution should determine compliance and list non-compliant items.
  3. Stretch goal: provide advice on mitigating non-compliance.
  4. The solution must operate without internet access.

Qualifications:

  • Final stage Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, data sciences, or informatics, suitable for thesis work.
  • Proficiency in technical skills, especially IT skills; Python preferred.
  • Willing to work on-site in Dahlewitz most days.
