Your Tasks

  • Manage a team of experts supporting the short-term operations of E.ON Energy Markets, including project management, market analytics, meteorology, and algo trading.
  • Drive the development of automated trading strategies for flexible assets in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders regarding flex projects.
  • Act as an interface between regional trading teams, asset management, and the development team for our virtual power plant.
  • Take commercial responsibility for algo/auto trading strategies on the short-term markets.
  • Support the setup of new products, assets, or processes for short-term trading from the business side.
  • Ensure constant improvement and further automation of trading processes with our IT team.
  • Support and drive the personal development of team members.

Your Profile

  • Excellent degree in Engineering, Energy Economics, or a similar discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of the Day Ahead, Intraday, and ancillary service markets in Germany, the Netherlands, and/or the UK.
  • Profound understanding of market rules, processes, and regulations around physical short-term trading.
  • Experience as a Power Trader, Power Optimizer, or similar role.
  • Experience in short-term gas operation is advantageous.
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic market and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Highly entrepreneurial with a proven track record in P&L contribution.

Fluency in English and German is required.
