Legal Counsel Contract Management (m/f/d) (H/F) - AIRBUS SECURE LAND COMMUNICATIONS GMBH

For Airbus Secure Land Communications GmbH, part of the Airbus Public Safety and Security (PSS) Business Unit of the Airbus Defense and Space Division, we are looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) with focus on contract management for the PSS Legal Department at the Ulm location.

Your role: In close cooperation with the Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for the legally compliant implementation of Airbus PSS contracts. You will provide independent legal advice and support to the Airbus PSS bids, sales, procurement, and commercial teams across different regions. Your focus will be on contract management, supporting the bid phase through to project execution, including contractual implementation, Change Management, and Claim Management. A security clearance is required for this position or must be issued by recognized authorities.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Providing contractual and commercial support to sales, bids, and project teams, including bid preparation, contract drafting, negotiation, and execution.
2. Managing commercial and contractual issues during the bid and contract phases.
3. Collaborating with the Procurement team to support RFP preparation, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
4. Guiding and advising project teams to ensure adherence to company processes and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Reporting and managing all commercial and contractual risks with relevant internal functions.
6. Working closely with the PSS Legal team.

You have the following knowledge and qualifications:

• You are a fully qualified lawyer (postgraduate Master’s degree in law) or possess a comparable qualification.
• You have at least three years of professional experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Experience in security and/or defense law is a plus, including Change and Claim Management, contract review, drafting, negotiation, and legal implications.
• Experience in procurement law (mainly in Europe), international law, and IT law is advantageous.

• You are a strong communicator and negotiator, problem-solver, and pragmatic in proposing solutions.
• You are fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is highly appreciated.
