Jobbeschreibung

Applied Materials is the world market leader in special systems and manufacturing processes for semiconductor, electronics, and display technology. We provide the technology powering nearly every new chip and advanced display globally, with innovations shaping future technology. Approximately 33,000 employees worldwide work across research and development, production, sales, and service.

Our subsidiary, the 'Yield Technology Group' located in Feldkirchen (near Munich), develops and produces high-precision electron optical devices (electron microscopes) in collaboration with internationally networked locations such as Taiwan, India, and California.

For our growing location in Feldkirchen, we are seeking to strengthen our team by hiring an Electrical Engineer (m/f/d). You will join our development team, working closely with developers to design solutions tailored to our customers' requirements.

Primary Focus:

Development of electronic components that control the electron-optical system of our devices, including designing, implementing, and testing new circuits, and specifying electronics and software from external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sophisticated analog and digital electronics for electron beam inspection systems in the display and semiconductor industry, collaborating with physicists, designers, and system engineers.
  • Plan and implement electronics for the operation of complex electron-optical systems.
  • Specify, manage projects, and accept external hardware and software components.
  • Set up prototypes for testing and evaluating new developments.
  • Coordinate with internal customers in Asia and travel occasionally.

Required Skills:

  • University degree (university, university of applied sciences) or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and developing precision electronics (current and voltage sources, low-noise amplifiers, raster and imaging systems).
  • Knowledge of precision high-voltage supplies (up to 30 kV).
  • Design skills for digital control electronics.
  • Specification of motor controls and automation of pumps and valves for vacuum chambers.
  • Implementation of IEC, SEMI, and UL standards.
  • Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting prototypes.
  • Ability to define control software and user interfaces.
  • Experience managing complex electronics projects.
  • Fluency in German and English.

We welcome even highly motivated university graduates to apply. We offer a wide range of interesting tasks with a high degree of initiative and responsibility. Our internal and external training programs, competitive salary and bonus structure, company pension scheme, and other attractive benefits will appeal to you.
