Paraeducator - Special Education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Previous experience working with students in a school setting. Ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, and handle confidential matters while maintaining a calm demeanor. The ability to greet and deal with school staff, students, and public appropriately and courteously. Provide instructions based on lesson plans and assist individual students in comprehending concepts. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff, and in some cases parents. Some additional professional development requirements occur outside of the regular work day throughout the school year.

Hours: Up to 5.75 hours/day

Rate of Pay: $18.62/hour
