We are offering a Fast-Track Graduate Program for Field Service Engineers in Europe, starting in October 2025. Your base location will be Dresden, Germany.
The 9-month program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry.
As a member of the Field Service Engineer Program, you will participate in a blended learning environment where you will receive FSE certification through hands-on equipment training on Applied’s broad portfolio of products. The program promotes a broad, career-growth foundation. Your exposure to Applied Materials’ digital tools, technologies, operations, customer requirements, and project presentations will prepare you for future career growth.
Upon completion, you will be located in Grenoble (France), Agrate (Italy), Dresden (Germany), or Kildare (Ireland), key hubs for the semiconductor industry in Europe.
What you will do on our Field Service Engineer Program:
- On-site installation and support of customer equipment, including preventive and corrective maintenance, and upgrades.
- Performing maintenance independently or as part of a team.
- Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination.
- Work across technologies such as Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.
Our College Graduate Trainee Program includes:
- Theoretical and practical knowledge transfer, including international placements.
- On-the-job training supported by a local buddy, team, and managers.

We are looking for you:
- Graduating in 2025 or recently graduated in 2024, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Advanced English skills; proficiency in French, German, or Italian is beneficial.
- EU citizenship or legal right to work in France, Italy, Ireland, or Germany.
Your mindset is important:
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and trust-building ability.
- Judgment based on data analysis from various sources.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively and build consensus.
