Job Title: Global Account Manager - Strategic Accounts EMEA
Pure Storage Germany is seeking an experienced Global Account Manager to join the Strategic Accounts EMEA team in Germany. In this role, you will help drive business with a small subset of strategic accounts in collaboration with the Strategics Team. You will coordinate strategy and team-selling efforts with partners and teammates to close business on a quarterly and annual basis. Proven ability to exceed quotas, prospect, close global contracts, and build deep relationships with large global customers is essential. A successful GAM at Pure will demonstrate the ability to develop long-term relationships with Partners and GSIs, drive customer satisfaction, and maintain accurate forecasts. This is a hunter territory requiring experience and success in opening large accounts.
Responsibilities
As a GAM, you will be:
- Prospecting: Proven track record of penetrating accounts, reaching decision-makers, and closing business.
- Strategic account planning: Leading and managing global strategic accounts.
- Managing relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with 'C' level stakeholders and senior internal representatives.
- Account planning: Ensuring account plans are signed-off and agreed upon by both Pure Storage and customers.
- Market analysis: Using statistical data to identify market trends, focusing on contract retention and revenue growth.
- Customer evaluation: Assessing customer preferences, pricing, and product terms to meet client needs, and analyzing competitor offerings.
- Forecasting: Providing timely revenue forecasts based on market and customer data.
- Revenue growth: Identifying potential markets and opportunities for new and existing products and services.
- Sales opportunities: Identifying, pursuing, and closing sales leads from various sources.
- Proposal delivery: Contributing to high-quality proposals for managed accounts and prospects.
- Partnership development: Developing account strategies that leverage customer and industry synergies.
- Customer relationship management: Working with Global Account Managers to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Deep understanding of customer business and industry: Knowledge of key decision-makers and influencers.
- Strategy translation: Ability to convert customer objectives into relevant propositions.
- Experience with C-level engagement: Proven experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
- Decision-making skills: Ability to identify key issues and manage conflicting interests.
- Communication skills: Strong ability to convey understanding and earn respect across organizations.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to drive sales transformation programs.
- Language skills: Native/Bilingual German and professional English required.
