I am currently working with a Global Distributor that is looking to expand their team in the Food Ingredients industry. This position is for a Sales Manager who will cover the Savory segment of the business across Germany.

Responsibilities :

  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade fairs, conferences, and events.
  • Provide personal and telephone support along with technical advice for existing customers.
  • Acquire new customers and cultivate sustainable, intensive relationships.
  • Develop and execute sales promotion and customer loyalty strategies.
  • Plan and implement sales activities nationwide in the savory sector.
  • Conduct negotiations with customers and suppliers, focusing on technical sales discussions and pricing terms.
  • Manage budget and demand planning responsibilities.
  • Monitor the market continuously, analyze competition, and derive actionable insights.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, developing promising potentials in new and existing applications.
  • Create offers and maintain documentation within the CRM system (Salesforce).

Ideal Profile :

  • Completed technical, scientific, or commercial studies, or comparable training related to the food industry (e.g., food technology, nutritional science).
  • Understanding of the savory market within the Food Ingredients industry.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 50%) within Germany.
  • Relevant experience in sales within the food and nutrition industry; savory sector experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on results.
  • High commitment level, independence, structured working style, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of the distribution business is advantageous.
  • Hunter” mentality with a drive to achieve and surpass goals.
