Simulator Software Engineer Aerospace (m / f / d) - Qualitätsmanagement, IT

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and implement simulation models of satellite equipment and space environment.
2. Continuously improve the simulation framework, user front-end, and testing/debugging interfaces and tooling.
3. Perform tasks throughout the full software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, design, coding, testing, integration, and documentation.
4. Coordinate with customers and internal software teams for design reviews and timely delivery of simulators.
5. Support customer teams during mission preparation and maintenance phases of simulators.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with a major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with working in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of federated simulation and co-simulation techniques is a plus.
• Experience with Qt, Git, DOORS, JIRA, and embedded software is advantageous.
• Experience with ECSS-SMP tools/environments and standards (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-40C, DO-178B) is beneficial.
• Previous experience in the space sector, especially with ground station software, is an asset.
• High motivation, independence, and excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
