We are looking for a Asset Partnership Data Strategy Lead who is collaborative, innovative, and influential to join our Global Data Acquisition team. This position will be based in our office in Monheim, Mettmann, Germany. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 40% on-site presence.


About the role

You will partner with Data Partnerships colleagues within the team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape in the US, EU, and Japan. You will collaborate with business stakeholders across specific therapeutic areas throughout development and commercialization cycles to identify use cases, define data requirements, and develop overall data strategies to facilitate the successful development and launch of our drug assets.

Who you’ll work with

You will work with Data Acquisition team members, Integrated Insights Hub Leads, IT, the Data Office, Real-World Evidence (RWE), advanced analytics, translational medicine, medical leads, asset leads, regional and functional commercial leaders.

What you’ll do

The Asset Partnership Data Strategy Lead will drive business impact by developing a clear data acquisition strategy for key therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing short- and long-term data roadmaps to deliver actionable insights and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Maintaining expertise in healthcare data (e.g., claims, EMR, labs, genetics) and analytics methodologies.
  • Guiding data selection across all product development and commercialization stages.
  • Partnering with global stakeholders to understand business needs, define use cases, and prioritize data requirements.
  • Collaborating with data acquisition teams to identify and assess data assets.
  • Ensuring value realization through pilot programs and rapid implementation with analytics teams.
  • Promoting cross-functional collaboration with data, IT, compliance, and business teams.
  • Driving data innovation within therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative area; a Master’s or Doctorate is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience advising stakeholders on data acquisition strategy for pre- and post-launch phases.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with various forms of pharmaceutical data.
