Role Overview

The Senior Transition Coordinator is responsible for managing the transition phase of complex IT projects for both internal and external clients. In this role, you will coordinate the implementation of planned customer solutions, bridging design and operations by managing both technical and non-technical activities. You will ensure quality assurance through structured checks and play a key role in interfacing with specialist departments and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Take on sub-project responsibilities within transition management
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Develop transition plans and coordinate with specialist departments
• Clarify technical and professional issues with relevant stakeholders
• Act as a consultant to project teams and departments during the transition phase
• Monitor all process steps during the transition phase
• Conduct and document Quality Gate meetings and Readiness Checks
• Use project management systems such as MS Project and JIRA
  
  

• University degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent recognized vocational IT training
  
  

• German: C1 level
• English: B1 level (CEFR)
  
  

• Proficiency in:
• MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
• JIRA
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (EPDF framework preferred)
  

• GPM Basic certification (project management)
• MS Project certification preferred
  
  

• 5+ years of overall professional experience
• 3+ years in project leadership, sub-project leadership, or transition coordination
• 3+ years working in a public sector environment
• 3+ years of direct client interaction experience
• 1+ year of experience with network technologies
  
  

• Strong team collaboration skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Confident in leading meetings with >20 participants
• Highly experienced in hybrid and remote work environments
• Demonstrated IT affinity and interest in diverse technologies
• High flexibility and adaptability across varied tasks and topics
