The BCS Supply Chain Rail department manages the transport and supply chain planning of the European rail tank car network for our liquid and gaseous chemical products. In addition, we develop supply chain concepts based on rail transport, forming the basis of our business.

You like to coordinate and organise and put service for customers and suppliers first? Are you communicative, open for new challenges, and prefer to work in a committed and highly motivated team? Then you're the right person for us!

We look forward to receiving your application if you have sound experience in managing tank wagons in rail freight transport. A proactive way of working and the ability to coordinate complex logistics processes are essential.

  • Manage the incoming and systematic recording of damage reports for defect tank wagons in our leased fleet, and coordinate repairs and cleaning in close consultation with wagon keepers and cleaning plants.
  • Plan and optimise overhauls, negotiate cleaning conditions, and book transport for maintenance activities.
  • Handle business transactions, including processing complaints (8-D reports) and coordinating with logistics service providers.
  • Process and approve invoices for logistics services, maintain wagon master data, and manage rental contracts for tank wagons.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations such as dangerous goods, customs, foreign trade, and taxes.
  • Balance cost-effective fleet management with high service levels, considering current market developments and maintaining communication with logistics partners, customers, and repair centers.
  • Occasionally visit partners to maintain relationships and enhance cooperation.

Your profile:

  • Completed a commercial or logistics apprenticeship with experience in order and transport processing.
  • Technical understanding and experience in fleet or damaged vehicle management are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations, tax regulations, and foreign trade standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and experienced with SAP.
  • Team-oriented, service-minded, and fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
