Job Description:

The TPM (Terminal Product Manager) is responsible for the development and certification of new mobile products, with key responsibilities including:

  1. Project Management: Managing end-to-end terminal projects, coordinating with Device OEMs and internal teams.
  2. Product Management: Ensuring product readiness for new devices and software updates, collaborating with partners and testing teams.
  3. Vendor Management: Managing relationships with Device OEMs and serving as the technical contact.
  4. Device Certification Management: Defining hardware and firmware requirements, ensuring compliance with certification standards.
  5. Maintenance Releases Rollout: Overseeing deployment and validation of software updates to enhance device performance.
  6. Test Scope Definition: Developing and maintaining test plans and cases, balancing quality and efficiency.
  7. Network Feature Forecasting: Coordinating with OEMs for new network features deployment and certification.
  8. Roadmap Planning: Aligning device launch plans, maintenance releases, and feature deployment with OEMs and internal teams.
  9. Incident Management: Supporting issue investigation and resolution.
  10. Quality Management: Monitoring device performance and managing relationships with testing services.
  11. Reporting: Providing status updates and escalation points to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the telecom industry, preferably in device OEM management or terminal product management with MNOs.
  • Experience in device certification and maintenance projects.
  • Strong understanding of device firmware, features testing, and various device types.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP and non-3GPP network technologies (2G, 4G, 5G, VoLTE, VoNR, VoWiFi, Network Slicing).
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
