Structural Stress Engineer

• Work alongside clients to establish engineering requirements and assess potential structural solutions.
• Conduct early-stage and conceptual sizing calculations for aircraft components.
• Perform stress and fatigue assessments to meet certification standards for airframe designs.
• Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Nastran) to perform simulations and extract internal loads.
• Execute traditional hand calculations based on recognized industry methods (Bruhn, Niu, Roark, ESDU).
• Draft, review, and validate technical stress documentation, including reports, engineering drawings, and deliverables.
• Innovate and validate new stress analysis approaches.
• Prepare reports for certification, outline test strategies, and validate design schematics.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on Aeronautical, Mechanical or similar
• At least 4 years of practical experience in structural stress analysis within the aerospace sector.
• Proficiency in Nastran and Hyperworks
• Good organizational skills
• German would be a plus
