Enterprise Search Architect (f / m / d)

The Data Search Architecture is empowering E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Architect (f/m/d), you define the overarching search architecture for E.ON's applications and systems, ensuring scalability and reliability in alignment with organizational objectives. You oversee the design and implementation of the search infrastructure, including defining data ingestion processes. Additionally, you are responsible for defining search relevancy strategies, optimizing performance, and providing guidance on best practices for search feature development to meet the specific needs of E.ON and its users.

Meaningful & challenging - Your tasks

• Design and architect enterprise search solutions that meet business needs, utilizing Lucene-based search technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their search requirements and translate them into technical requirements for enterprise search solutions.
• Develop user journey maps that capture various touchpoints, and architect search solutions to ingest data from sources like databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, websites, etc.
• Design solutions and strategies for near real-time search, batch data ingestion, and data crawling, and define and implement ETL layers to enrich data and optimize search results for business needs.
• Develop and implement search user interfaces, including search forms, facets, and filters.
• Participate in search solution testing and tuning, including performance optimization and load testing.

Authentic & ambitious - Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with multiple years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise search solutions.
• Strong experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, and/or Microsoft Search, and a solid understanding of search relevancy, indexing, and algorithms.
• Understanding of keyword search, fuzzy search, vector search, as well as search UI design and development.
• Experience integrating search solutions with client applications and data sources, CMS systems, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, confident and engaging with internal and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Team player with an independent and structured working approach, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
