As our Bid Manager (m/f/d), your primary objective is to successfully lead and manage the end-to-end bid process to secure new business opportunities and specific contract renewals for our organization, starting from an indicative offer to a binding proposal and an agreed contract signature. This role involves project management, development of a commercial and technical solution, strategic sales thinking, stakeholder management, and effective communication in a cross-functional project environment in the data center service industry.

  • Leading the creation of high-quality key sales deliverables (proposals, customer presentations, contract packs, approval materials, and other deal-related documentation), including supporting the definition of sales strategy and tactics to increase our win ratio.
  • Coordinate, examine, and scrutinize final contracts and proposals.
  • Effectively manage the bid process from qualification to project handover to delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical experts, finance, legal, etc., to gather necessary information and insights for a winning proposal.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the bid and develop mitigation strategies, including understanding of commercial, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Understand specific data center services related to technical demands and key commercial terms.
  • Ensure solutions align with the organization's financial goals.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients in cooperation with internal experts.
  • Communicate effectively with customers about technical capabilities and commercial propositions, and document project status internally.
  • Possess a degree in commercial, engineering, or information technology fields.
  • Have multiple years of bid-management experience, ideally in data center colocation or complex technical solutions industries.
  • Have a high affinity for sales and proposal development, with experience in legal and commercial contract drafting.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and/or English.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical and contractual opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills, adaptable to agile environments.
  • Basic understanding of data center business, solutions, and services.
