The Baden-Württemberg Police University trains the next generation of police officers for all police forces in Baden-Württemberg and guarantees the ongoing training of police officers. With over 1,300 employees, we regularly train over 3,500 police officers at eight locations. The Villingen-Schwenningen campus is the central study location for the bachelor's degree course and the first year of the master's degree course for the Baden-Württemberg police. Operational Coordination Technical Coordinator (f/m/d) of the HfPolBW Service Center (full-time, permanent, up to EG 11) Reference number: 2025-003

Your Tasks

Strategic planning and continuous further development of the network architecture, especially in the area of centralized and decentralized firewalls

Coordination of a central service area with a focus on the campus network, WLAN, network and firewall; development and integration of new IT elements into the existing network structure

Responsibility for scheduling in the ticket system, including the assignment of requests in first level support as well as the assignment in second and third level support

Analysis and evaluation of statistical data according to a defined concept for optimizing network resources

Creation and adaptation of documentation in collaboration with IT coordination

Planning, implementation and documentation of patch processes (software and hardware) as well as coordination of cross-location tasks in the team and with external service providers (including operations)

Participation in projects for the continuous improvement of our processes

Your Profile

Completed university degree (Bachelor or comparable degree) in the field of computer science or an equivalent qualification through relevant skills and experience in corresponding activities

Physical aptitude to lift and carry loads (e.g. hardware up to 25 kg) and the ability to carry out overhead work (on a ladder if necessary) and work in a stooped position (e.g. under tables)

Advantageous Are

Professional experience in the described field of activity

Strong social skills, especially teamwork and cooperation skills

Confident handling of Microsoft Office products

Confident handling of Mac OS products, experience with the administration of Mac OS devices

Assertiveness, planning ability and the ability to work strategically, conceptually and solution-oriented

Willingness for flexible working hours and business trips

Ability and willingness to work as a trainer, including charismatic qualities to effectively impart knowledge and motivate trainees

Our Offer

If all collective agreement and personal requirements are met, employment up to pay group 11 TV-L is possible (show pay table TV-L)

The position is permanent with a regular weekly working time of 39.5 hours

The employment is full-time. The full-time position is generally divisible
