IT System Administrator Infrastructure

Nova Biomedical is hiring an IT System Administrator Infrastructure to act as a primary and 2nd Line IT Support person for all users in all European subsidiaries, especially those without a local IT resource. The role involves resolving and coordinating issues related to local IT Infrastructure, maintaining it, and preparing IT documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Client and Asset Management - Provisioning hardware such as notebooks (Windows 10 / 11) and VoIP telephony.
2. Mobile Device Management - Provisioning, configuration, and support for iOS and Android devices.
3. Server and Storage Management - Setting up, monitoring, maintaining, and updating physical and virtual servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
4. Problem management and troubleshooting to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, focusing on Exchange, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, MS Outlook, LAN/WLAN, VPN, and workstations.
5. Support for local firewall configuration requests, coordinating with US-based senior staff, without direct configuration access.
6. Utilizing Microsoft System Center, Microsoft 365, Exchange Server, network hardware, and remote server administration tools.
7. Assisting subsidiaries with SharePoint Online projects and related processes.
8. Conducting audits of local IT infrastructure in subsidiaries.
9. Supporting digitization initiatives and software deployments.
10. Participating in special IT projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. BSc in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years in IT/Network administration, especially with Microsoft 365 and Azure, supporting 1st and 2nd line support.
3. Fluent in German and/or French and English, both written and spoken.
4. Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Office, SharePoint Online, and related tools.
5. Knowledge of Information Security standards like ISO 27001.
6. Basic understanding of SAP and GDPR requirements.
7. Experience with network administration, EDR software, VPN, firewalls, and VoIP.
8. Strong understanding of wired and wireless networking, cabling, firewalls, and routers.
9. Willingness to travel within Europe up to 20% of the time.
