At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

As a Product Safety Specialist – Business Process Management, you will play a key role in shaping and enabling end-to-end EH&S data management processes that ensure Roche’s compliance with chemical and environmental regulatory requirements, sustainability goals, and internal standards.

You will work within the Product Sustainability & Compliance (PS&C) network to design and continuously improve global processes that are embedded in Roche’s modular Quality Management System (mQMS). This ensures that EH&S and sustainability data are available, reliable, and actionable throughout the product lifecycle.

In addition to strategic process management, the role includes a hands-on operational component, where you will respond to customer and tender requests, provide expert guidance, and support issue resolution related to EH&S data management and compliance.

The Opportunity

  • Designing, documenting, and governing EH&S data management processes for hazard communication, material declarations, and sustainability reporting

  • Embedding these processes into the global product change process to ensure data traceability and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle

  • Ensuring full alignment with mQMS principles and global quality standards

  • Monitoring process adherence, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities for process and data quality improvements

  • Delivering global reporting and analytics for internal and external customers to enhance transparency and enable decision-making

  • Supporting customer and tender requests and operational tasks, including data checks, clarifications, and guidance to internal stakeholders

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive automation and digitalization of EH&S workflows

Who you are

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Life Science, Data Science or related subject or equivalent experience

  • You bring experience in product safety environment (hazard communication, material declaration, product stewardship) or EHS master data management in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry

  • You are familiar with BPM principles and have supported process mapping, documentation, or improvement in cross-functional settings.

  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Agile and Growth Mindset: Open to new ideas and adaptable to change

  • Problem-Solution Orientation: Focused on finding solutions rather than presenting problems

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
