As a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d), you are responsible for extending our platform for cloud-based backend solutions.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the development team to help build and deploy new services to our GCP cloud-hosted infrastructure.
2. Build and maintain our GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, up-to-date and tested.
3. Monitor and maintain Google Kubernetes Engine setup for our production platform.
4. Maintain tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus to monitor our environments.
5. Troubleshoot technical issues, communicate and document procedures, and recommend architectural changes where necessary.
6. Respond to alerts in a timely fashion.
7. Extend our continuous delivery release process, automated rollback procedures, and disaster recovery solutions.
8. Maintain and support our on-premises cloud (OpenShift / Kubernetes), build and development infrastructure.

Your Profile

1. 5 or more years of professional experience in IT infrastructure or similar areas.
2. Managing cloud resources.
3. Maintenance and support of development environments.
4. Usage of IaC (e.g., Terraform and/or Ansible).
5. Linux system administration.
6. Professional usage of Kafka, PostgreSQL, MQTT.
7. Maintaining critical infrastructure (KRITIS), IT security knowledge, including management of private and public SSL certificates.
8. Working with Kubernetes and reverse proxies/web servers.
9. Usage of shell scripting.
10. Managing pipelines in Jenkins.
11. Professional experience with source code version control, e.g., Git.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication (and documentation) skills in English.
13. Self-driven, highly analytical, and detail-oriented.
14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
15. Computer Science degree, or equivalent.

Nice To Have

1. Experience as application software developer, Java, a big plus!
2. Experience with HAProxy, NGINX.
3. Experience working with GCP.
