Location: Düsseldorf, Germany

About the Role

For QBE Europe SA/NV, Germany division, we are seeking an Underwriting Assistant (m/w/d) for the Insurance Administration department in Düsseldorf and Hamburg, focusing on the following lines:

Financial Lines
Liability
Pharma & Life Sciences

Your Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Financial Lines, Liability, and Pharma & Life Sciences insurance sectors
Process and manage international insurance contracts
Enter and maintain contract data and risk information in the management system
Prepare insurance contracts, amendments, certificates, and billing documents
Research and assist in creating reports and management information
Interact independently with internal departments such as Underwriting and Finance

Your Qualifications

Completed vocational training as an insurance and finance clerk
Additional certification as an insurance specialist or business administrator is desirable
Experience with international insurance contracts and commercial/industrial insurance is preferred
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and willing to take responsibility
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
Interest in IT systems and processes; able to adapt and follow existing procedures
Good English skills and openness to intercultural communication
Strong analytical skills and structured working approach
Communicative, empathetic, and customer-focused
Reliable with quick comprehension skills
