At Ouster, we build sensors and tools for engineers, roboticists, and researchers, enabling them to make the world safer and more efficient. We have transformed LIDAR technology from an analog device with thousands of components into an elegant digital device powered by a chip-scale laser array and CMOS sensor. Our high-resolution LIDAR sensors are used in autonomous cars, drones, and other applications, providing superior imaging at a lower cost.

We are seeking a motivated Account Executive to sell our sensors and support existing key customers in the D.A.CH region within the industrial automation and robotics industry. This position is remote, preferably based in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in consultative, relationship-driven sales processes with high-value customers, from lead identification to networking with decision-makers, pitching Ouster’s technology, and managing evaluation, pilot, integration, and production phases.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager with key account decision-makers and influencers, collaborating with product management, customer success, and field application engineering teams to ensure successful sensor deployments.
  • Cross-sell within existing customer relationships by leveraging successes to identify new opportunities within the same organization.
  • Focus on key accounts, meet aggressive sales targets, and contribute to rapid business growth.
  • Identify new customer requirements and communicate feedback to product management and engineering teams.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and work cross-functionally to satisfy and grow relationships.
  • Utilize sales methodologies and tools to prospect and manage all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Maintain internal reporting and forecasting for business operations and finance teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven success in exceeding sales or business development goals.
  • Experience in hunting roles, finding and closing new business with prospects.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience, selling to C-level executives in enterprise accounts, including Fortune 500 companies.
  • Curious and analytical mindset, understanding customer needs and motivations.
  • Resourceful and creative in achieving objectives efficiently.
  • Results-oriented, motivated, and hardworking.
  • Organized, diligent, and proactive in follow-up and maintaining momentum.
  • Polished communicator, able to manage conversations smoothly across various levels.
  • Self-aware, humble, and open to constructive feedback.
  • Technically proficient, with a strong desire to learn about our technology and products, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly.
  • Trained in reputable sales methodologies.
  • Skilled in CRM and prospecting tools like Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and Groove.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering field.
  • Experience selling to automotive and industrial sectors is a plus.
  • Experience in hardware or SaaS sales is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Remote position, preferably based in Germany.
