We are on the journey of forming the new motors and large drives company Innomotics and are therefore looking for a Head (f/m/d) of Digitalization & Software to join our team.

Launch of our new company Innomotics: We are on the exciting journey of forming a new leading motors and large drives company – Innomotics. Under this name, Siemens is combining its business activities in the areas of low- to high-voltage motors, geared motors, medium-voltage converters, and motor spindles. Headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, our company will employ ~14,000 employees worldwide and operate in almost 50 countries.

The role: In your mission, you are responsible for R&D and operations of both the embedded-software (SINAMICS) including human interfaces and edge & cloud-software (SIDRIVE IQ) including digital platform, digital services, digital content, tool development, and integration with drive system products and enablement of service processes. You own and drive governance over software design, development, test, release, and operation standards. Continuous innovation and improvement is part of your DNA. You drive the innovation and evolution of software components, products, and platforms as well as the appropriate development and operation system and setup to execute successfully. You ensure execution of efficient and scalable operations, delivery, and customer support processes. You lead the global Digitalization & Software R&D organization including 4 regional hubs in Germany, China, USA, and India with a total of >100 HC globally, fostering a high-performance team and strong collaborative ownership culture across departments based on Agile & Lean principles and methods. You spearhead the overall digital transformation of Innomotics’ business towards an IoT-leveraged business and lead & provide direction to the organization comprising product design, development & operations. You are responsible for the global budget and accountable for establishing and developing all aspects of defining the appropriate portfolio, creating the necessary organizational and technical setup.

Your profile: You hold a degree in computer science, information technology, or automation technology. Additionally, you bring long-term (min. 15 years) professional experience in software or software-driven industries. You acquired 10 years of experience in various related job assignments such as product development, DevOps, UX design, and IT applications management. You bring passion to drive change and a profound background in agile development practices such as Scrum and Kanban. You are able to demonstrate the ability to lead and guide scaled Agile SW R&D organizations with diverse teams and technology/software fields. You lead R&D teams in industrial software, IoT software, and/or automation business with a track record of delivering tangible results. You have an excellent command of German and English. You have successfully demonstrated entrepreneurship, experience in business transformation, and championed environments of empowerment and appreciation.
